Advocacy
We know our clients wants, needs, health status and comfort level. We communicate with them and their family. This better enables us to advocate for our client’s needs and wants. If we see something that is not right, we speak up. We protect our client to the best of our ability.
Empathy
We put ourselves in the senior’s shoes. We feel into the situation they are in and work to understand their position. We come from a place of heartfelt empathy during our time with our client.
Adaptability
We are flexible, observant, and responsive while offering compassion to our senior’s ever-changing emotions, comfort level and health status. We go with the flow, ask the senior how they are feeling, what would work for them today and we are ready to engage by following the senior’s lead.
Empowerment
We put the power in our client’s hands. We ask questions, provide options and step into their world as we help them to feel human and maintain as much control over their lives as possible.
Intention
We go into our work with intention to bring joy to our senior’s life. We intend to enrich a life with small gestures. Our intention as a companion is to provide social and emotional support, smiles, warmth, and genuine, heartfelt care.
